Microsoft Corp. and CoreFiling confirmed today that U.K. corporations can now use CoreFiling's Seahorse service to file their taxes electronically, thanks to a technology licensing agreement the XBRL specialists forged with Microsoft to create Inline XBRL (iXBRL) documents by intelligently tagging Microsoft Word versions of financial statements.

XBRL UK issues minimum tagging update to accounts taxonomies

XBRL UK has issued a minor update to the 2009 accounts taxonomies to add a small number of tags to the HMRC and Companies House minimum tagging lists. The additions are described in the information on minimum tagging and taxonomy changes in the taxonomy zip files. Apart from adding a small number of existing tags into the minimum tagging lists, no other changes to the taxonomies were made in this release. To access the updated taxonomies, click here.
